Kristen Hoggatt-Abader is a Senior Lecturer in the Writing Program at the University of Arizona. She is the author of Arab Winter, a chapbook of poems, and several columns published by Arizona Daily Star, The Smart Set, and other outlets. She holds an MFA from Emerson College and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition at the UA. Her research interests include Universal Design and disability studies. She enjoys working out, poetry, and hanging out with her family and friends.
